"This Is So Me...This Is So You" Swap

Hi Friends,

I just wanted to share how excited I am with you today. I just signed up to join in on a swap that Tammy over at http://aprimitiveplace.blogspot.com/ is having. It's called "This Is So Me....This Is So You", We have to make two things....One that best describes us and one that describes our swap partner. We must go to our partners blog and read there post and research blogs they have joined to and look at anything else that will help us figure out what best describes them. Then we are to create something that we think shows there description. Sounds like so much of fun, doesn't it? I can't wait to get started! Sign Ups are until March 4th, so if your thinking of joining in you better hurry over to sign up! Tammy has all the info. listed on her blog about the swap. So stay tune for more up dates to come.

One more thing before I go, I know I have been promising new dolls coming soon, for all that has been interested. I have been under the weather here with some kind of bug or stomach flu thing that has knocked the heck out of me this past week. So I haven't worked on much. ( I do have some dolls almost done, except for a few finishing touches) All I have wanted to do this week is snuggle on the couch or lay on my bed. One minute you feel good and you think OH GOOD... this is finally passing and then a few hours later you feel like crap all over again. I have no energy to do anything. and the light headedness that comes with it, is the pits! :( My poor Grand babies, and daughter have it also. I feel so sorry for my daughter as she has been down herself and trying to care for all three sick children is really hard. Her hubby does help, but if anyone with children know, they always want there momma when there sick. As soon as I am back to normal or feeling some what myself again, I will add those few finishing touches to my new dollies and then I will list them here, before I list them on Ebay. On that note, I am going to close. I'm off to go back and lay down and snuggle. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugssssss, Mary

Happy Valentine's Day With A Lil' Bit Of Love

Happy Valentine's Day!
I thought I would share my Lil' Bit Of Love with everyone today, seeing it's Valentine's day. I thought ,what could be more fitting? I participated in a swap called" A Lil' Bit Of Love" that http://thimbleprimsstudio.blogspot.com/ was hosting. My swap pattern was Lyn Smith from Queensland Australia. We each had to create a doll, with everyone using the same pattern called "Lil' Bit Of Love" by Back Porch Pickins. This was my second doll swap I particiapated in and I am looking forward to doing many more. I had so much fun, creating my doll and I thought it was so awesome to see what everyone else had created and how different each doll was! Lyn did such a beautiful job on my doll and I just love her to bits! She not only sent me my doll, but she sent me a tin of chocolates (mmm, yummy, I wonder how she knew I had a weekness for chocolate?? LOL) and a package of beautiful heart beads(and they are pink, no less, my fav. color!). Thank you so much Lyn! I love everything! The best part of doing this swap is I have gotten to make a new friend, and I look forward to learning all about her and Australia!
On that note I will close for now. I wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day! Until next time.....Hugs Mary
PS...As soon as Lyn recieves her doll I made, I will post the pictures of her as I do not want to spoil her surprise.

Its Been Such A Long Time...

Top Pic. Is All My Goodies From Tattered Sisters Primitives
These are the mice, aren't they the cutiest? The top pic. is all the patterns from Thimbleprims.
Here are the pic.'s from Olde' Country Cupboard. Look at all those melts!

Hello Friends, It's been a long time since I last posted and I do apologize for the delay. Did you ever hear the old saying "when it rains it pours"? Well that's how it's been around here! Never a dull moment. Every time I thought I would have a chance to sit and post, something else would come up and I would have to put off posting once again....But, I'm back and hopefully I can get back into the groove of things here. I have so much to share with everyone. Back in Dec. I won a giveaway Sandy was having from http://oldecountrycupboard.blogspot.com/. I received my goodies on Christmas Eve. in the mail...now how awesome is that? What a wonderful Christmas present! Her melts are to die for, they smell so yummy and the scent last such a long time. She sent me a ton of the melts along with a wonderful feather tree, that she made herself. To top things off, Sandy even let everyone who entered her giveaway pick a free pattern of choice as away of saying "Thank You" and a special present to us all! She is such a sweetheart and very generous and giving! Thank You again, Sandy! If you have not stopped by her blog, you need to do so! She has so many wonderful patterns to choose from and is an inspiration for us all with all the things she makes and creates.

Then Back on January 1st. 2011,Cindy from http://thimbleprimsstudio.blogspot.com/ posted that I was the "Lucky Winner" in a giveaway she was having on her blog for a pair of Bethany Lowe Party Mice...."Oh MY GOSH" was I surprised to see my name posted on her blog as the winner! I was so excited, when I first laid eyes on those mice, I instantly fell in love with them and was really praying I could win them.... I could not believe my eyes when I saw that my name was picked and I was the winner!! Yahoo!! But, that is not the best part of this story as when I received my package in the mail, it was wrapped in beautiful Raggedy Anne and Andy paper. When I opened the box, there was beautiful curls of pastel ribbon laying on top (Dang, I sure wish I would have thought to take pictures as I was opening...but I was so excited, I forgot everything) after the ribbon, were my new beautiful mice all wrapped in tissue and a note from Cindy sending me congrats and telling me to look in the bottom of the box. To my surprise, there was 4 different patterns for dolls and a bunny on the bottom of the box. What a wonderful surprise and a very generous gift. It was like receiving a small party in a box!! When you have a few free moments, you should stop by her blog and say hi. She makes wonderful art dolls and is in the process of renovating and moving into a new home, and could use all our prayers and support.
One more giveaway winnings I would like to share with you is from Tina, fromhttp://www.tatteredsisters.com/ I received my goodie box last week and you just have to see all what was in the box. There were a bag of melts, bag of fixins,a bag of wax dipped wooden spools(I love these by the way), a pip berry candle ring, and awesome bar of grubby soap(that smells so good!), a pack of note cards,a olde' crow cookie cutter, and a cute little roosters sitting on a nest statue....whewww can you believe all that she sent me! Thank You SOoooo much Tina, I love it all! I also love her blog, she is always posting great tutorials that you need to check out. Shes a newbie as myself and I am sure she would love for you to stop by and say hi.

I have been so blessed lately, not only with winning giveaways, but with meeting and making new friends along the way. I think that is my most favorite part about blogging. Whoever thought years ago, that one could sit home in there PJ's and meet and make new friends from all over the world without ever leaving our homes?
I know this post has been super long, please forgive me. But, I really wanted to give credit that has been long over do to Sandy, and Cindy and share with you all my beautiful gifts that I have received from everyone.
One more thing before I close, I am working on some new dolls that will be for sale soon, for any ones that interested and I will be posting them very soon! I am also thinking of having an Easter Giveaway.......so stay tuned for more details to come. Take Care My Friends....Until next time.......Hugsssss Mary
