A Easy And Very Yummy Recipe For Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Good Evening Friends,
I hope everyone is well and enjoying there evening. Tonight I thought I would share with you a very Yummy and easy recipe for "Pineapple Upside Down Cake". It is one of my favorite go to recipes when I am wanting something sweet and yummy, and do not want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen.

The recipe is very simple to throw together and takes very little ingredients. Just look at that yummy goodness! :)
Pineapple Upside Down Cake
1 box of Yellow Cake Mix any brand is fine.
1 Stick of melted Butter
1 and 1/2 cups of packed Brown Sugar
1 can of whole Pineapple (drained)
1 jar of Maraschino Cherries
Whipped Cream for garnish

1). Prepare  Cake Mix according to package direction.

2). Melt 1 stick of Butter and pour into a 9x13 bake pan.

3). Mix the 1 and 1/2 cups of Brown Sugar into the melted in baking pan.

4). Lay the rings of Pineapple down over the Brown Sugar and Butter.

5). Arrange the Maraschino Cherries in the center of the Pineapple and anywhere else you would like to add them.

6). Pour the Batter over everything and smooth out evenly.

7). Bake in a pre-heated oven 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into cake.

8). Let cool for approx. 15-30 minutes and then invert onto either a cake plate or any flat surface your going to serve it from. (I either use a foil lined baking sheet or just cover my baking cooling rack in foil and invert).
Serve with a big dollop of Whipped Cream.......and ENJOY!

I hope you have enjoyed the recipe and if you get around to trying the recipe out, I would love to know how you liked it?
Until next time friends....
Big Hugs

This sounds like the way my mother used to make pineapple upside-down cake except she added halved walnuts or pecans in the spaces around the pineapple rings. Also, instead of adding water to the box cake mix, she would substitute the pineapple juice that came from the can of rings. It added a little "kick" to the cake : ) Thanks for posting this. I'm going to the grocery store this morning & will be baking one of these when I return : )
